Alex MontalvoService Manager
Alex has spent 17 years as a packaging machinery service technician and, for the last 15 years, has been both a technician and Pak West’s Service Manager. He has 17 years of field technical experience and parts procurement experience. Alex is experienced in servicing the following lines of equipment: Arpac, Beseler, Belco, Conflex, HeatSeal, Lantech, Muller, Orion, ITW Mima, Shanklin, Extreme, Shanklin, StraPack, Streamfeeder, Wulftec, Weldotron, 3M-Matic, Combi, Belcor, Wexxar, Loveshaw, Little David, and Best Pak.
  
Paul MaldonadoSenior Service Technician
Paul’s broad range of technical capabilities include 8 years with bus based technical service. He has experience installing and servicing various types of industrial and food packaging systems such as: pallet stretch wrapping machines, shrink wrapping machines, tape applying machines, strapping machines, case forming & erecting, carton fillers, bag inserting units, tray lidding machines, and conveyorized heat shrink tunnels. He is also familiar with diagnosing and repairing PLC’s, VFD’s, DC motor controls, DC-AC motors, gearboxes, pneumatics, and associated electronic circuits and controls. He is factory trained by Lantech (all levels), 3M, Shanklin, Wulftec, Conflex, and StraPak. He is also fluent in Spanish.
  
Pedro “Pete” Maldonado - Service Technician
Pete has 8 years experience with bus based systems assembly/troubleshooting/programming and 6 years packaging systems/sales support. Trained on: Signode, Wilton and StraPack strappers; Ulma, Doboy, Conflex, Shanklin, Weldotron, Heat Seal and Eastey wrappers; 3M, Wexxar/Belcor, Combi tapers; Lantech (factory trained, authorized support), Wulftec, Liberty, Muller, Cousins and Orion pallet stretch wrappers; std, bus based systems (sensing, gauging). Certifications by: Lantech (Level 1, 2 and 3), Allen-Bradley (RSLogix), Weldotron 1600, Extreme Machines, Combi Case Erector, Wexxar/Belcor Case Formers, Arpac Level 1 and Conflex (CW160, E250).
  
Mike MeireisService Technician/Electrician
Mike has been with Pak West 10 years. He is Lantech level 1 and Wulftec Levels 1 and 2 certified. He is a certified journeyman electrician and licensed contractor. He is factory trained by 3M on case sealing equipment, by StraPack on strapping machines, and Dorner on their conveyors. He has experience on a broad range of equipment including Belcor, Heat Seal, Eastey, Weldotron, Combi, ITW Mima, Liberty, Little David, Belco and Orion. He has worked on PLC and relay logic controls and has completed an Allen Bradley PLC programming course.
  
Peggy LeeParts and Service Coordinator
Peggy has been with Pak West since 1987. She has been in the packaging department for the past 3 years and is in charge of parts, rental equipment, preventive maintenance contracts, technician scheduling and dispatch. She is very motivated and always happy to help you.
  
Amy CabreraParts and Service Support
Amy Cabrera has been with Pak West since 2004. During this time she has been a part of various departments and uses her Spanish language skills to better service our client base. Currently, she is responsible for part orders and dispatching service technicians.

Our bilingual staff is here to support your packaging equipment, minimize your down time and maximize your efficiency. Whether it’s emergency service repairs, warranty work, preventative maintenance, machinery training or parts orders, we are always here to help our valuable customers.
  
• Service: Our team of service technicians is extremely knowledgeable and dedicated, and are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

• Parts: We stock a large variety of replacement parts for immediate shipment; however, if we don’t have what you require, we can usually get them to you within 24 hours.

• Technical Support: If all you need is a little guidance to fix your problem, we can walk you through it, saving you both time and money.

• Engineering Support: In addition to our Technical Service Team, we have an Engineering and Support team that will assist in projects requiring engineering, fabrication and/or millwrights to create a closed loop approach to implementation.
  
Packaging Service Rates & Hours
LABOR RATE
Normal hours of service are 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday Thru Friday $ 120.00 per hour (1-hour min.)

TRAVEL RATE
$ 95.00 per hour (1-hour min.) billed for one way

OVERTIME RATE
After hours service is 5:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Monday Thru Friday
Labor: $180.00 per hour. (1-hour min.)
Travel: $143.50 per hour (1-hour min.)
WEEKEND & HOLIDAY RATE
Labor: $240.00 per hour (3-hour min.)
Travel: $180.00 per hour (1-hour min.)

PLC PROGRAM REPAIR LABOR RATE
$150.00 per hour (1-hour min.)

OVERNIGHT JOBS
Meals, hotels and transportation shall be charged at current rates when applicable.
